They Turned Ragged Trees into Beautiful Ones

When my husband and I purchased an old farm house several years ago, we had every intention of flipping it. It needed a lot of TLC, and we had plenty to give to it. Before we were even halfway done, we knew that we were going to keep this place for ourselves. It has everything we could possibly need, but it also had quite a few things that we probably did not need too. I knew that we would need to find a reputable tree service in Nassau County because the only thing we were not able to handle on our own were all the trees outside.

My husband builds homes for a living, so we were able to handle all of the renovations inside. However, he has never cut a tree down in his life. He thought they all needed to come down because they just looked that unhealthy, but I thought some of them might just need topped and trimmed. (more…)

Nitro Rc Cars The Hot Rc Car

The Nitro RC car or gas powered RC car is an rc car that runs on a special fuel — a mix of oil, nitro-methane and methyl alcohol.

It’s kind of like a smaller version of a top fuel dragster.

The ESP of a Nitro Remote Control car is that it is far more powerful and runs longer compared to Electric RC cars. This is definitely not your father’s rc car. They are a little more expensive than their electric counterparts – both to own and maintain.

While electric RC cars are ideal for beginners, Nitro RC cars are intended more for the serious hobbyists and racers.

Basically, a Nitro RC car has an internal combustion engine of 2-stroke or 4-stroke type. Fuel is supplied from a small tank that contains the special fuel. Regular gasoline will not work in these engines.

you start the car either with a pull start cord or with a starter box.

Just like real cars, these engines have a carburetor, air filter and other such components of the internal combustion engine. They also have the universal components like, electronic radio control, servo speed control, transmission / gear system, drive train, differentials, steering system, shock absorbers, and batteries for head lights.

Why is an RC car so special and expensive?

First, the complex engine and its components are costly, compared to the simple motor in the electric RC car. In addition, a battery for the electric car is a simple one time investment compared to the ongoing fuel costs of Nitro RC’s.

In addition, Nitro RC cars gather more dirt and grease. More running components in any system mean there will be more wear and tear.

Both these add to the maintenance cost.

However, for the sheer power and racing range, the Nitro RC cars are the leaders in RC toys.

You may choose the cars in 1/8, 1/10, 1/12, 1/20 scales as well as mini nitro RC cars. The 1/8 and 1/10 scale Nitro Remote Control cars are the most popular ones with racers and serious hobbyists.

They can be bought in most hobby stores or on the Internet for between $200 to $400.

This is definitely not a beginner’s price!

On the other hand, it’s nowhere near as expensive as a full-sized Porsche, yet it helps fulfill your racing dreams. At 60 to 100 kmph speeds, they are very definitely exciting!

Learn About Rc Cars

RC is used to describe remote control and radio controller. Remote controlled cars first came about the 1960s. The first produced cars that went on sale were by an Italian company Giocattoli Elettronica (El-Gi). The first car that went on sale was the Ferrari 250LM. The cars were imported to Britain and were available to the public in December 1966.

The 70s saw more companies jump on the band wagon including the British company Mardave which produced and sold nitro or gas powered cars to the locals in Leicester in the early 70s. The technology evolved and engines went from single to double-piston and then in 1974 the very first electric remote controlled cars hit the stores.

The 80s saw an explosion of these cars and more people cottoned on to them and bought them. The technology was evolving all the time with companies producing newer models with advanced components, offering more speed and better control. Enthusiasts would join organized races and the hobby was at its most popular. It was in the 1990s when to top cars were so expensive many enthusiasts when back to racing in car parks and waste land. This was the time when companies brought out miniature cars. The sizes were on a scale of 1/10 to 1/12 to 1/18.

Today developments of RC cars include models which can perform stunts like real cars. You can create your very own bespoke car, choose the tires, choose the fuel and choose the colour, anything you want. They are still very popular and enthusiasts can still go on organized races if they want. You can buy them in any toy shop or online stores. Enthusiasts can join online communities and social networking sites where they can meet and arrange races with other like minded people. You can even get remote control helicopters.

The great thing about these cars or any remote controlled toy is that they are fun for all types of people and ages. Young boys love cars and planes so of course young boys are going to love them, but they are great for adults from all races that want to explore the child within them.

When buying one you should consider what you want to use if for and how experienced you are. If youre a beginner you dont want to spend a lot of money on a nice shinny car because it looks good, you really need to invest in one that is designed for the beginner.

Inspiring Auto Careers

Not only does most of the country run on cars, but the world at large relies largely on motor vehicle transportation for both people and cargo. Keeping all of these vehicles running is a big job a job that keeps a huge number of people employed in a vast variety of career fields. These are just a few of the more exciting career options available to those who choose to get into the automotive field.

Body and Paint Specialist

For many if not most car owners, looks are pretty much everything. Like any possession that is going to be on public display on a regular basis, a huge number of car owners are very concerned with the aesthetics of their vehicle. The looks of a vehicle often play a large role during the car shopping process, as well as cleaning and maintenance.

As a Body and Paint Specialist, your job will be to not only repair structural damage that a vehicle may have sustained, but also restore the vehicles visual appeal so it looks at least as good, if not better, than it did originally. For Body and Paint Specialists, taking a sadly damaged vehicle and making it look like new is hugely satisfying.

Automobile Designer

If you really want to get into the world of automotive aesthetics, there are few career choices better than automotive design. Unlike other vehicle related careers, becoming an automobile designer requires a thorough interest in and understanding of design in general, requiring a substantial design aspect of your education.

However, automobile designers also need a strong grasp of mechanics and aerodynamics. This requires a multidisciplinary approach that has a strong emphasis not only on design but also on mechanics. Automobile designers are hugely influential in the world of design.

Assembly Line Worker

While on the surface this might not sound like the most exciting of career choices, the role of the assembly line worker has changed significantly over the past few decades. While computers and robots do much of the work, assembly line workers are now often well versed in computers and robotics, as that is often a major facet of the job. As always, being an Assembly Line Worker involves the satisfaction of putting together the vehicles that make the world run.

Automotive Service Technician

There is a lot more work that goes into keeping cars on the road than just filling the gas tank. A vast majority of the driving public knows very little about car maintenance and repair. This is where the Automotive Service Technician comes in.

As an Automotive Service Technician, you will fill the invaluable role of making sure that vehicles continue to run safely and dependably. Like many other auto careers, becoming an Automotive Service Technician begins with the right education.
